Best Way to Lose 90 Pounds in 6 Months - Success Story

Pam Aitchison arrived for a fortnight-long holiday - but was horrified when she couldn’t make the half-mile walk in the heat. The 59-year-old from Austin, Texas, said she was left gasping for breath half way and searching for a taxi to get her there.

She said: “It was awful. It wasn’t that the walk was high or too long, I just couldn’t do it – I couldn’t make it however much I tried. The first time I did it I was so breathless I thought I was going to pass out so, from then on, everyone else carried on walking and I got a taxi!”

It was the final straw for Pam who has been overweight since adulthood. She decided to lose weight and has shed seven stones in time to celebrate her new slimline shape for her 60th birthday in October: “And I plan to stay this way.”

Pam says: “I hadn’t realised how unhealthy I was and the effect it was having, even though I had asthma and high blood pressure . But I knew there and then that it wasn’t good for me and I had to do something – not least because I have an adopted daughter, who is nine, and I want to be able to play with her and keep up with her in the park. I had to lose weight"

When she joined custom Keto Diet  in August 2018, Pam weighed 229 pounds and was a size 24 – now she weighs 139 pounds and is a size 10! “And I feel incredible. I am fitter and healthier and I’m no longer on a lot of medication I was on. I’m made up. I just wish I’d done it earlier.”

Pam says she started putting weight on at 21. When I was in my teens I was fine, I wasn’t too bad, but then I started to put on weight, I think because I was a young woman, going out, and drinking and eating the wrong foods.

For breakfast former council worker Pam ate a full breakfast and, albeit she grilled the bacon and sausages, she fried the eggs in oil and ate it with white buttered toast.

“I had ham or cheese sandwiches on white bread for lunch – on about four slices of bread – which I’d follow with cakes or biscuits (I probably had a packet of biscuits a day). For tea I would often go the chippie and whether I had a curry or a steak I would always have it with chips. I didn’t like rice.”

Pam says for the first three months she found it hard to change her eating habits but it wasn’t long before she found it easier and more enjoyable to eat healthier and better. She lost total 90 pounds in 6 months.

“Now I’m determined I’ll never change and go back to how I was. I bought a new pair of trousers the other day in a size 10 and I was absolutely delighted. I’ve never been a 10 and it made my day – my year – be able to fit into them. I’m 60 next month and I intend to stay slim and fit from now on. Now instead of getting taxis everywhere I walk everywhere and, when I went back to Benidorm this year I walked about 30 miles in a week. lt wasn’t a problem this time around – and I saved a fortune in taxi fares."
